What's in a name?

Okay, I am in serious need of some help here...

LOVED my girl's name, now I can't use it. LOVE my boy's name, Bryce doesn't like it. SO, we're now at the drawing board, trying to figure out a name for our bundle of sweetness. Boobala is not sticking right now as a nickname either, so my sis suggested Bo. So for now, we've got Boo and Bo.

As for Bo's permanent name, here are a list of names that have come up in conversation. Let it be very clear that this list consists of my favorites, Bryce's favorites, and a select few that we both (!) like. I, in no means, endorse every single one of these names. In fact, many of them are compromises for me and a few of them I don't like AT ALL, but I promised Bryce I'd put them all on here and see what everyone else really thought. I won't tell you who likes what, but if you know us well enough, you might be able to guess...and if you'd like, please kindly share your opinion.

In no particular order:
Thaddeus
Lucian
Colin James (CJ)
Cullen James (CJ)
Everett Michael
Shane
Eamon
Shamus
Tyson
Cohen/Coen/Koen
Corbyn
Kendrick
Caius
Kyson

(This is NOT something I would normally do, as we actually kept Trevin's name a total secret until he was born. I didn't really even like sharing ideas. So please, be kind!)

My favorites (in no particular order) are Shane, Shamus, Corbyn, Tyson, Kyson is kind of cute, too. I've also always liked the name, Kellan...or Kaleb...or Kaelem. I'd stick with Michael for a middle name; it's a good strong name :). Names are fun!

Love love love Everett Michael! And, wow, you are brave asking for opinions!

Cullen James, Everett Michael have to be my two favorites... I think.
But it might be tricky yelling "Trevin, Everett get over here!" Or "Trevin, Cullen...." HMMMM....Something to process. Looks like you pulled out the Celtic name book :)

I think you actually did take my advice and go to the romance novels for names...or maybe that's more Erin with "Brock Danger" ;-)
I'm a fan of Everett Michael. Everett and Trevin sound good together, but Everett is hard to shorten ?Eve ?Ev ?Rett.
I like Colin James too.

Hey Audrey, time for gramps to weigh in. I think your mom and I finally have something in common. I also like Colin James (CJ) -- T-Dawg and CJ -- hmmmmm. Not real fond of Everett. Shane, and Tyson are also catchy. Aaron in honor of his auntie could be nice as well. Back to work. Gotta run.

I like Cullen. But I think that's the Twilight fan in me...

Also, I'm really liking Shane.

Our second name for Lucas was Tyson, I love it! Ty, or spelled Tia (Both pronounced the same). Super Cute!! Once you see him, all the names may get thrown out the window! Good Luck, and Congrats on another boy. They are the best!! :)

You are brave to ask opinions! I like Colin James (CJ is cute!) and Corbyn. I also like Shane. And if Emily was a boy she would've been Tyler :-) Good luck!

Since you asked....

I like Collin James.
Not in love with Everett. I feel ok saying that since some people do love it.
And I also don't really care for Cullen just because I think everyone will think of the Twilight series - good or bad.

I love the twilight series..and didn't even think about it when I said Cullen was a great name- however it is true that some people might think of that.
Corbyn, I have decided, I also like.
What an exciting time- any chance you'll give away what your girl's name was?

I like Everette and Tyson. Corbyn is a good one. I do like the CJ names too. But my favorites are Everette and Tyson.

Okay...so not a fan of Everette or any of the incredibly unique names (like Thaddeus). I do like Corbin, Tyson and Colin. Shane, too, but with a brother named Trevin a regular name like Shane won't work.
I also agree with Christa on the name Cullen. I thought of Twilight immediately.
My other thoughts...I've always liked Lucas and Dakota.
Have you checked meanings? Sometimes the meaning of a name can change your mind really quick! AND...someone else said this too....you may see the little guy and think none of the names fit him. We didn't name Jess until the day we left the hospital. Our previous thoughts changed when we saw her pretty little face. Good luck and congrats on having another boy! I LOVE my boys!!!

I really like Corbyn. I sort of considered it (Corban) for Matthew. Troy went to Corban College (although it was something else at the time). It means "a gift devoted to God" and I really like that. In the end I wanted names that I thought complemented each other and Corban and Garrett seemed like they were on totally different wave lengths to me.

Anyway...maybe that is one of the ones you hate. :-)
