Funny Trevin

First things first, blog posts are just a little more fun with pictures...

Okay, now onto the funnies. Trevin's been keeping us on our toes lately in more ways than one. Crazy kids, those toddlers...

As part of Trevin's bedtime routine, I always sing him a few songs before he falls asleep. There are lots of songs he requests, but he certainly has his favorites. Last Saturday night, when I was putting him to bed, he requested "The Itsy Bitsy Spider," four times. Each time he requested it, I'd say "Again?! Okay..." and then I would start singing. That particular night, my sister was over and he did not want to go to sleep. He got up several times and would stand at the gate that we put in his doorway, making noise. At one point, we overheard the following conversation he was having with himself:
"What song?"
"I-bissy pider"
"Again?! Okay..."
sings song

That same night, after Trevin had been out of bed several times, we left him at his gate to see if he'd just go back to bed. Well, he didn't, and when Bryce went to check on him, he found Trevin with his diaper off and his legs out of his one piece pajamas, arms still in the sleeves and button fastened at the top. Quite the superhero look in his pajama cape!

Later that night (seriously, he got up SO MANY TIMES), Bryce had enough and went upstairs to firmly tell Trevin to go to sleep or he would be in trouble. Trevin just looked at him, then his door, and said "Okay, I cwose it." He didn't get up again!

And finally, last night, we were out of clean jammies for Trevin, so I had to put him in a blanket sleeper, the really thick, warm ones with the footies. As I was getting him ready for bed, I said to Bryce "I hope these aren't going to be too warm." Well, apparently they were. When we opened Trevin's door to check on him before we went to bed, we found him lying in the fetal position on his bed, completely naked, his bare booty exposed by the light from the hallway.

Oh, that boy...
