Tyson will finally sit still for books. It's fun to read to him and Trev, children's books are great!
Gotta love Freight Train with daddy. |
| Did I tell you about Trevin's OBSESSION with big trucks with trailers? I think I did. Anyway, daddy came home one day with a special truck for T. That was a couple of weeks ago and he still loves it. |

| Kisses from Grammy |
| Wrestling with Gramps |
| Always fun when Grammy and Gramps come to visit. |
| Trevin is starting preschool this fall at a small Lutheran church in town. I can hardly believe it. He's pretty excited and even more excited now that he has a new backpack (one that he insisted on wearing as we shopped through Target). |
| It's a Cars backpack. I am not surprised. |
| Fun times at the pool with Grammy, Gramps, and daddy. |
| T could live in the water. |
| The big truck was the highlight of our day on Tuesday. It was parked in front of our house, unloading stone pavers for our neighbors. Trevin cried when the truck drove away. |
Tyson's personality is showing more than ever before right now. He is my cleaner. He loves to help empty the dishwasher and knows where everything goes. It's pretty amazing to watch him open drawers and put things away. He insists on helping...even if the dishes are dirty! And the other day, I was putting laundry away in his room and there were toys on his floor from the toy drawers in his closet. When I turned around after putting the clothes in his drawer, I see Tyson's floor almost spotless and Tyson putting every toy away, in the right place, before shutting his closet door. He takes after his mom in that way. :-)
In recent weeks, our days have felt like "countdown" days. You know those days when you are counting down until bedtime because if bedtime doesn't come soon enough, you might go crazy? Trevin's in a really noisy, hyper phase (I hear that doesn't really go away for awhile...) and Ty is teething right now and has been a total bear most days. He is cranky and has a very quick temper (not sure if that's the teething or just him). I am playing mediator for much of the day and by the time Bryce gets home, I am ready to collapse into bed or snuggle up for some quiet time on the couch.
Today was a nice day, though. I took the boys out shopping to the craft store (for me), then school clothes shopping (for T). Prices weren't great on clothes, so we didn't find much, but we ended our morning at Chipotle for lunch, just me and my boys on a little date. It was fun. Now they're napping (or kind of...Trevin doesn't sleep for naptime much anymore) and I'm enjoying my quiet house...
...before it erupts in noise again.
