Not my son

Well, okay, I'll claim him. But I will NOT take credit for what he did today.

Trevin got a haircut this afternoon and after haircuts, he always gets a bath or shower. Today he chose a bath. While in the bath, Trevin began to hold his bottom and say "poot." According to Bryce, he did this a few times, so Bryce thought it was time to take this boy out of the bathtub before things got messy. He called to me for help, since he was also holding Tyson.

I got upstairs and Bryce filled me in on what was happening. I thought, perfect time for a teaching moment, and asked Trevin if he wanted to sit on the potty. "Potty! Potty!" He was clearly excited. I dried him off and sat him on the toilet.

As he sat there, he grinned from ear to ear, saying "potty," "poot," and all sorts of jabber in between.

Then he strained. And smiled.

Then he began to make noises with his mouth. At first, I thought he was just spitting or making noise to make noise. Um, no.

Shortly after he began this display, Bryce and I noticed his pattern.

"Phlbbtphppp..." (insert poop noises here)

"Poot."

Laugh.

He was intentionally making farting noises. (We say "toot" in our house, but I'm not writing to a bunch of two year olds...) And he thought he was hilarious. And we could not believe our son was doing this.

I could not believe our son was doing this.

And I will NOT take credit.

That is hilarious and I'm sure Bryce is happy to take credit for that display!

Ha ha! And it'll be even more fun once little brother is old enough to join in. ; )
