Victory!

Lately, Trevin has been really difficult to leave anywhere. He stays with grandma and grandpa pretty easily, but if we have a different sitter or take him to the church nursery, it's usually a pretty "painful" experience. Just last Sunday, Bryce took Trevin into the church nursery and the sweet childcare worker, who hardly ever sends kids out, told Bryce that Trevin was probably not going to settle down and needed to leave and go church with us. Ugh...that was so frustrating to hear and nearly got me crying out of sheer frustration. When baby T comes, I don't want to be packing two kids into the church service with me every Sunday, nor do I want to have the added stress of an unhappy toddler everytime we have to leave him.

Well, this weekend was victory after victory...Saturday night, we met with some friends from our home group for a little while and their sons came over to watch Trevin. They usually watch him during home group, but he almost always cries for part of the night. This time, NO TEARS. He was perfect, according to the boys. Sunday morning, I took him to the nursery, praying the whole way there that he would stay and play. After just a couple of minutes of sitting with him and playing, I was able to leave Trevin to play. There were a few tears on his part, but apparantly, he was done with those very quickly and was great for the entire service. That nearly got ME crying once again, but this time, out of sheer joy and relief (I blame the pregnancy hormones). Then last night, once again, we had home group and brought Trevin to our friends' house where the boys watched him and another couple's kids. Again, not a single tear. He was "perfect." Relief!

And there's more...Trevin has played by himself really well this weekend! Woo hoo!

Victory is sweet...
