Every year, my best girlfriends and I get together for a girls' weekend. This was year number six (I can hardly believe we've been doing this for that long!).
As usual, we had an amazing weekend of talking, eating, talking, shopping, and more talking. It was food for my soul.
I'm so thankful for these women!

| The weekend could not start without a little adventure so Kendall and I headed to Walgreens so she could pick up an "emergency" pair of sunglasses. $10 and a whole cashier fiasco later, we were back in the car and she was sporting these shades, circa 1990...with the tag still on. The tag was made of chipboard and the attaching string had a metal clasp, so with no scissors, she had no choice but to sport the tag. It was cute, really. |

| Cade was our man of the weekend this year. Such a handsome and sweet little guy. |
| Time for a 1:30 lunch (after sleeping in until 10:30...what!?) at a yummy bakery. |
| Usually we get a couple of great pictures of the four of us together. Maybe we just didn't think about it, but by Sunday, we needed a last minute pic and the kind woman that offered to take our pic at Starbucks didn't quite catch us at a very flattering angle... |
| Cade and his mommy, Nicole. |
| My friend, Ang, raved about Trophy Cupcakes and I, being the cake lover that I am, had to give them a try. |
| Dream come true for this frosting lover (I knew it was a good sign that the frosting was as tall as the cupcake itself...don't judge). Easily the.best.cupcake.EVER. Mint chocolate chip. It was amazing. |
| Before we said good-bye. Next time I see any of these girls again, Ang will be a mommy! |
So relaxing...until I got home on Sunday night to a house of screaming boys and one tired guy. Bryce swears he did not give the boys anything out of the ordinary to eat, but seriously? They were the loudest and rowdiest I have ever seen them. Blood pressure spiked until their bedtime, then I could relax again :-).
Thank goodness for rejuvenation.
