Are you ready for this? My son is...34.5 inches long. At 15 months. That is tall. He's also 26.5 lbs. That makes him tall and relatively skinny. He's starting to chunk up again, but I think that just means that he's about to stretch out some more. Crazy! I'm so in love with my growing boy!
His dr. appointment went well yesterday. The doctor said Trevin looked and felt strong, like he had gained some strength since our last visit. He was also very impressed with Trevin's cognitive growth...the fact that he is now following directions and saying a few words was good news for the dr. to hear. He seemed almost relieved to hear those things from me, which I thought was a little weird. Was he worried about Trevin to begin with? He hadn't really expressed that before. I know Trevin has always been on the quieter side, but I never thought he was abnormally quiet. At any rate, he doesn't seem to be worried now, so that's a good thing!
In some non-Trevin, Boo Two news...I had an interesting conversation with my mom yesterday. She is back in the midwest visiting her family and they had a reunion this weekend with all her cousins, second cousins, etc. on her mom's side of the family. After the slideshow, the person speaking said that they were curious about the family medical history and about finding out things that ran in that side of the family. Apparently, one of the things they found out was that there have been several women on that side of the family that have had preterm labor, having their babies anywhere from about 5 to 10 weeks early. If you remember, I had Trevin nearly 5 weeks early. That's interesting information to know for this time around. I know they don't know the cause for preterm labor, but I thought it was interesting that it was actually a pattern seen in the family. Something to pray about and be aware of!

Hey- apparently there is a new test they can do to check whether you are at risk for pre-term labor. Can't remember who was telling me about it- but might be something to ask your dr. about.
I know we are going to ask when the time comes for our second since Connor tried to come at 27 weeks...
boo two - i love it!
