I get goosebumps remembering back to the day. It was such a surprise, since he was born 4 and half weeks early. In a way, it was great timing though. My mom and Bryce's mom were in town for my baby shower, which was Saturday, and Trevin came on Sunday. I never would have expected that the Braxton Hicks I was experiencing all day would be something more. Come midnight, my contractions were frequent and becoming progressively more intense. By 8:26 Sunday morning, Trevin Christopher entered the world at a hefty 6 lbs. 11 oz. (remember, 1 month early...) and 21.5 inches long (which is up for debate).
He stayed 10 long days in the NICU. It was hard to have him there, but I was happy with the care he received. By the time we left, I had mixed emotions. I was sad to say good bye to the nurses that took care of our family, but was so excited to get our baby boy home! And I thank God for our family and friends that were there for us during and after that tough time.
I sometimes long to relive the whole experience...the anticipation, the overwhelming joy when God's sweet creation enters the world, the exhaustion, the excitement and support of family and friends around you. There truly is no experience like it, in my mind. A friend of mine gave birth to her little boy today and I am so excited for her. I pray that she is experiencing that same joy today.
Happy 7 month birthday, Trevin...and welcome, baby Cooper!

Sounds like you're ready for another :-) I know what you mean, though. The whole experience is so amazing! I get a little sad sometimes, knowing that I'm done experiencing that!
Happy 7 months Trevin!!! And Audrey, like I said the other night... you could always go for another right now!
