Trevin Tuesday

Please help! Somehow my good eater became a very picky one, almost over night. He's been fed baby food for the most part, and textures have been an issue, but he was at least willing to gulp things down, even if it wasn't his favorite. He was even starting to eat different finger foods, like cheese, beans, meat, bread, and crackers. Then, all of the sudden, he was done. No meat, no cheese, no beans. He'll eat bread and cheerios, and maybe grilled cheese, but nothing else, unless it is baby food from a jar.

My mom's recommendation was to try adding bits of the real thing in with the baby food, like adding a small amount of whole peas to the container of baby food peas. He'll eat that for a little while, but as soon as he senses a hint of something unexpected, he's done and basically crosses his arms, turns up his nose, and turns his head. It's the most frustrating thing! Any ideas to share? (Rachel, if you're reading this, I'm hoping you'll have some tips for me! ;))

In other, more pleasant, Trevin news...he took his first bath in the big boy tub last night. Very cute. He loved being in all that water and liked all the toys that could fit in the tub with him.

And in case you needed a Trevin smile today, here it is...

Audrey~I wish I had some awesome eating tips for you...but unfortunately I am dealing with a 2-year-old who still doesn't eat! Gracie would live off of Cheerios, cheese and apple juice if she could! Today, we've decided we don't like grilled cheese...what child doesn't like grilled cheese!? I've gotten really good at "hiding" vegetables in her food! If she ever realizes they are there though, like Trevin, she will fold her arms, turn up her nose and be done!
My pediatrician just said to keep trying and keep offering things...eventually foods will click...
