Remembering "When"sday

Today, I'm remembering Christmas when I was in 5th grade...1990.

My grandma (dad's mom) used to knit and crochet all sorts of things for us as kids. We each had our own afghan (typing that just made me do a double take, why is it spelled that way and why is a blanket called an afghan?), some crocheted stuffed animals, and many sweaters. This particular Christmas, she made matching sweater vests for us to wear. And that pom pom on the teddy bear's hat...real, as in actually 3-D. Very cute, right?

(And in case you're wondering, I did do my own hair for this photo shoot.)

Wow, your grandma is a very talented crochet-er! Seriously, I'm impressed! Do you still have the sweater vest? I hope you saved it for Trevin to wear some day :-)
