What I've learned

Here's what I've learned in the last 3 weeks...

-Toddlers have a sixth sense about things. How do they know to refuse a nap on the day you REALLY need them to take one?

-It is REALLY hard to feed a toddler a well-rounded diet when nothing in your refrigerator sounds remotely tolerable to you.

-Clean enough IS good enough.

-Kitchens are stinky places.

-Dish soap smells icky.

-Restaurants are a WONDERFUL creation.

-Cake is GROSS!!!

-Sitting at the computer can make you nauseous.

-Heartburn sucks...and is also something you can have when you did not experience it one.little.bit. with your first baby.

-Tums really don't work that great.

-Morning sickness can, and does, last ALL DAY LONG...even when you weren't sick one.little.bit. with your first baby.

-Throwing up saltines ranks right up there with throwing up refried beans (sorry for that).

-You CAN see a baby bump after only 8 weeks.

-Husbands DO NOT understand what it feels like to be pregnant. I finally figured this out after the third night in a row of his asking "what's for dinner tonight?" when I can barely set foot in my kitchen without wanting to vomit.

-While my husband may not understand the relationship between food and a pregnant girl, he does understand the relationship between dishes and a pregnant girl. Good man!

-I still don't do very well with blood-draws, or needles...period.

-It's just as exciting to see the heartbeat the second time around.

-February 2010 will be extra special in my book, and not because that's when I turn 29.

-For the rest of my life, Valentine's Day and my birthday may be slightly overshadowed by someone a little more important...

-And, in case you haven't guessed by now, I'm pregnant and due in February!

AUDREY!!!!!
I am so excited for you, really! A few more days and I will know if I join you on this baby journey.
I honestly think I am there because standing at the Red Box outside McDonalds made me nausated (I think I'll hate hamburgers this tiem around). For the last week, I have NEEDED a nap right after lunch and well, it just feels like I am prego.
I can't wait for your baby to be born! You are definitely a beautiful pregnant gal...I hope your "morning" sickness eases soon. Hang in there friend! Hopefully, we'll see each other soon and can chat!

OH! OH! OH! I so knew it!

And just so you know there's someone out here who feels your pain....I threw up nearly every morsel that hit my mouth for 20 weeks! Even got good at having IV's at home. And throwing up saltines is just about the worst thing possible to throw up. Actually, toast is really bad too....it hurts and it all comes in a clump. And morning sickness is a bunch of crap. It can progressively get worse all day long. And ya, I wore maternity clothes at 8 weeks just so I wouldn't have anything tight on.

Call me!
