"Not Me!" Monday

It's "Not Me!" Monday again! Today is the day when I can share everything I did not do this week. Now you can all know how wonderfully "perfect" I am! Check out MckMama's blog where this whole thing started and find out what she and lots of others did not do this week.

So here we go...remember, no matter what anyone says, I did not do ANY of these things.

In the car, on our way home this afternoon, Bryce and I did not hear our almost 10-month-old, alone in the backseat, burst out laughing for no explainable reason. He did not do this repeatedly for a good portion of the ride home. It was not one of the sweetest things I've heard in a long time, and Bryce and I do not have the cutest baby in the world.

I did NOT have to wade through a pile of shoes in the entry way coming into the house this afternoon. They definitely would not have been all my shoes, either. I would not be so busy or scattered that I would leave my shoes to collect in a heap in the entryway of my "always clean" house!

And because my house is ALWAYS clean, I did NOT spend a good couple of hours this evening in my kitchen, cleaning up dishes that had collected over the weekend. I am way more on top of things like that and would never let gross dishes pile up in my sink.

I am a wonderful wife who loves to spend time with her husband whenever I get the chance, so I certainly did not stay out past 11:30 at friends' houses on both Friday AND Saturday night. I would not leave Bryce to watch Trevin two nights in a row and would not be out so late that I come home to a dark house and a sleeping husband. I do not have the best husband in the world that's happy to let me do things like that.

I did not get SO excited about making three batches of frosting for my cake decorating class. I do NOT love frosting. That stuff is gross. I did not make the three batches of frosting, then try a nibble, only to discover that the class recipe is not that good. I was not totally disappointed by that fact...remember? I do not love frosting.

I've learned my lesson, so I definitely DID NOT have more poop incidents this week and I am definitely not blogging about poop, again. I did not pick up a dirty cloth diaper and take it through the kitchen to the laundry room, only to drop poop out of the diaper onto the floor in front of the fridge. No way that would happen. That's disgusting! I also absolutely did not drop a cloth wipe into the toilet while cleaning out another poopie diaper. And I did not stick my hand in the toilet to fish it out. Nope, not me.

And while cleaning up poop and fishing in the toilet, not even a small part of me wanted to be in Greece, on a romantic trip with my husband. I KNOW I am blessed beyond my wildest dreams with all that I need and could ever want, right here at home.

Anywho...what did you NOT do??

And my daughter did NOT come into the bathroom while I was dumping a poop in the toilet from Brenton's diaper, only to say, "mom, there's poop on Brenton's floor!" I would never drop poop out of a diaper without knowing it and my daughter would never have to tell me there is poop on the floor. That would be downright disgusting!!!

Loved your Not Me's. The frosting was icky, huh? Too bad!

Had fun hanging out with you and am thankful for your great husband who let you come out to play!

Sorry your frosting wasn't all you thought it would be.

Been there with the poop. Dropped it! Dunked my hand in the toilet to rinse a narly diaper. Ahhh the joys.

Also had two year old poop on the floor....on purpose. Steve said we should tell the landlord, "we don't have pets, just a two year old who poops on the floor." So fun!

Oh, the joys of poop.

Girl, do you not have a fabulous diaper sprayer? I LOVE mine. I got it at babyworks in portland, and it sprays the ol' poop right off, no swishing, and it really helps with stinky diaper pail

I commend you and the cloth diapers. I tried it with Emily starting at the ages of 4 months and finally gave up on them when she was about 1. I was having a hard time with them leaking. I have a very efficient front loader so I think that was part of my problem -- not enough water. Oh well, I gave it a good effort!
